AfroBrazil Arts brings non-competitive, community-focused capoeira to TNS. The program combines Afro-Brazilian movement, music, and Portuguese songs in a multi-year journey -- students earn cords, perform at graduation, and have opportunities to visit the NY Mindful Capoeira Academy.
More than a martial art, capoeira here is taught as a cultural practice that builds physical coordination, focus, and respect for one another.
